TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please take some time to review our Important Event Information, not only will it answer any questions you may have about the ride but it will also help keep you safe!
IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION FOR ALL RIDERS
Your own personal safety during the ride and all personal possessions. The road worthiness of your bike and ensuring it has been fully serviced prior to the ride. Food and drink apart from the stops and ensuring you have warm clothing at the end of ride.. Suitable insurance.
Health and fitness
Please note that this cycle ride is not a race and not excessively physically demanding, but you should be reasonably fit and enjoy sufficient good health to participate. If you have any medical condition which could be adversely affected by exercise, particularly a heart condition or if you have any doubt about your health, you must consult your doctor.
You must confirm by way of accepting these Terms and Conditions, that, to the best of your knowledge, your general state of fitness is good and that you take full responsibility of yourself.
The challenge will be lead by an experienced rider and a Sweeper will follow. The pace will be set to suit all participants. Full details of the route are available here (link to route page).
All riders should carry a form of identification showing name, address & contact details of a person to be advised in the eventuality of an accident. First Aid and emergency numbers are on the route map. In cases of serious accidents call 999
You are responsible for insuring your own bicycle, all other personal possessions and against all personal accidents or injuries. The organisers cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal effects, accident, injury or death however so arising. By entering the ride you have agreed to the terms and conditions regarding insurance stated above.
Cycling helmet and lights
The wearing of a cycling helmet is compulsory for all riders. We also need you to equip your bikes with fully working lights.
Please observe the rules and regulations of the highway. Any rider not conforming will be removed from the ride.
It is advised that each every rider carry:
Spare inner tubes
A fully charged mobile phone
A working pump
Extra clothing to complete the ride, taking into account the route and possible adverse weather conditions
Bike and body
Participants are responsible for the road worthiness of their own cycle and ensuring that their bodies are in good condition and fit for the ride. By entering the ride you have agreed to the terms and conditions regarding Bike and Body stated above.
We will make every endeavour to support you during the ride. However in the event of mechanical failure or fatigue we are not responsible for getting you to the finish line. You must consider this as part of your planning.
